It’s also an excellent choice for applications beyond sports, such as capturing foley sound effects for film and video projects or picking up audio details during theater performances. Because the microphone only picks up impacts and vibrations it has very little sensitivity to airborne sound waves. Therefore, it naturally provides sound effects without ambient noise.
