Working in chalk pastels and digital media, New York-based visual artist Yadi Liu favors abstract figuration marked by curved, flowing shapes and bold colors to produce dreamlike representations of emotions and culture. Inspired by Cubism and Expressionism, as well as the vibrant life and public art of NYC, Liu seeks to strike a modern balance between illustration and fine art.
This 12" slipmat is 2mm thick (+-0.5mm) and made from medium density felt. It is glazed on the printed side, providing extra slip and rigidity, while remaining silky smooth.
The latest sublimation printing methods have been used to ensure every slipmat captures the detail of the artist's design. The printed design leaves no raised areas on the surface of the slipmat and is printed right to the edge.
